Mark Chait, Executive Director, Leasing
Benderson Development
Mark Chait began his career with Benderson in 2000, starting in the legal department before transitioning into his leadership role in leasing and development. He is now responsible for leasing, development, operations and tenant relations for all of the company’s shopping centers in Florida.
Mark completed his undergraduate studies at the University at Buffalo and received his J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law. With a strong background in law, he takes an active role in the company’s new acquisitions and legal matters.
Jose Ayala, General Manager
The Mall at University Town Center
Jose Ayala is a seasoned real estate executive with a proven track record in driving performance and growth for premier shopping centers and luxury hospitality brands. With over 30 years of experience, he has held leadership roles at Taubman Centers and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, overseeing operations, finance and marketing for multiple properties across Florida and the Caribbean.
Bruce Patneaude, Chief Operating Officer
Nathan Benderson Park Conservancy
Bruce joined Nathan Benderson Park two years ago to take the helm of the Sarasota County-owned community park and world-class rowing venue. Prior to joining the park, he worked with IMG Academy for 12 years running operations and gaining extensive experience in managing youth sports and high-performance athletes.
Bruce completed his undergraduate studies in electrical engineering at the University at Buffalo and received his master’s in engineering from Syracuse University. With a strong operational and technical background, he is positioned to take the park to the next level.
