Sarasota, FL - June 24, 2024 - The Ramos Center for Interventional and Functional Pain Medicine proudly announces the addition of Dr. Ryan Budwany to their esteemed team of physicians. Dr. Budwany, a highly skilled interventional pain medicine physician, will be based in the Sarasota office, serving patients across the region.

Boasting a distinguished background, Dr. Budwany is a board-certified physician specializing in interventional pain and functional medicine. He completed his medical specialty training at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital and earned his Medical Degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. Dr. Budwany's academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Emory University, a Master of Public Health in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety from Dartmouth College, and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from the University of Massachusetts.

Prior to joining the Ramos Center, Dr. Budwany honed his expertise under the mentorship of Dr. Tim R. Deer, a globally recognized figure in interventional pain and minimally invasive spine procedures, at the Spine and Nerve Centers of the Virginias. His dedication to advancing the field is evident through his involvement in research projects, including a collaboration with NASA studying the effects of microgravity and long-duration space travel on spine and back pain.

Dr. Budwany's commitment to healthcare extends beyond clinical practice. He has served as the Young Innovators Chair for the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, advocating for patient access to integrative pain management. Additionally, he is the Executive Director of Medical Diplomats International, a non-profit organization focused on improving healthcare outcomes in rural mountain communities.

With a philosophy centered on individualized care plans tailored to each patient's specific goals for functional improvement, Dr. Budwany offers comprehensive pain management services, emphasizing minimally invasive procedures and regenerative medicine to enhance quality of life.

About the Ramos Center for Interventional and Functional Pain Medicine  

Founded over 23 years ago by Dr. Fabian A. Ramos, DABA, DABPM, DABIPP, FIPP the Ramos Center for Interventional and Functional Pain Medicine opened its Bradenton, FL doors in January of 2000. Dr. Ramos and his team of skilled providers and staff have been successfully relieving patients suffering from chronic pain, through a series of state-of-the-art, interventional treatment options. As Dr. Ramos continued to grow his comprehensive Pain Medicine practice in Bradenton, to include various disciplines such as Medical, Interventional, Behavioral and Physical Therapy, he saw the need to expand his multi-modality approach to treating chronic pain into Pinellas, Sarasota, and Charlotte Counties. In 2005, the Ramos Center opened its second office in Sarasota, followed by a third office in Venice in 2019, and a fourth in Englewood in 2021. The Port Charlotte office and two offices in Pinellas County were opened in late 2021, early 2022. The newest locations, in Lakewood Ranch and Arcadia, opened in 2023 and will help serve East County patients in Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte Counties.
