Job Summary
An adjunct faculty member will be responsible for maintaining the highest academic standards in his/her particular discipline. The individual is expected to exercise professionalism in all activities related to the role of academician, including those concerned with the various duties assigned by the Department Chair, and any involvement with colleagues, peers, community and students. The position of an adjunct faculty member is temporary and is contracted as needed.
Applicants may be asked to teach assigned courses, maintain attendance, and ensure a professional appearance. Responsibilities include preparing course materials, delivering content to support student learning, and participating in assessments. Applicants must adhere to class schedules, remain available to students, and demonstrate professionalism and commitment to student growth. They will maintain accurate records, coordinate substitutes during planned absences, and promote a safe, respectful environment. Ongoing professional development and fostering a positive working environment among faculty are also expected, along with performing additional duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Education/Experience: Master’s degree in nursing required, Doctorate in Nursing (preferred) must be eligible for*, or have, a current valid Florida RN license, or Multi-State Compact License.
*Florida RN license must be obtained by hire date.
Recent nursing education teaching experience preferred.
Workdays: Monday-Saturday
Location: Works all three Campuses
Salary: $2000 per 3 ILH
