Staybridge Suites Sarasota-Bradenton Airport, FL is seeking an engaging individual with a strong multi-tasking skills and a passion for working with people. As a Hotel Maintenance Technician. You will play a key role in creating lasting positive memories. You will be responsible for attending to the needs of our guests during their stay and offering our unconditional satisfaction guarantee. We are willing to train the right person in the IHG Preventative Maintenance program!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned)

• Maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility. Performing a variety of maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry.
• Responding to guest calls and work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conducting inspections to determine preventive maintenance needs and to diagnose maintenance issues.
• Responding to emergency situations including, but not limited to safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property. Assisting with the patrolling of the interior and perimeter of the hotel and preliminary investigations of incidents, as needed.
• Writing reports and documenting maintenance, safety or security needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Six months or more related experience is required.
• Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical experience is required.
• Hotel maintenance experience is preferred.

ABILITIES

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs.
• Ability to recognize and act in emergency situations.
• Ability to perform job functions with limited supervision.
