Job Summary

Serves as administrative assistant to the Assistant Director and Director, Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development. Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and otherwise relieves officials of clerical work and routine administrative details by performing the following duties. 

1. Provides leadership and supervision for assigned instructional programs in Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development, including reserves and prepares facilities, prepares required materials, creates classes, screens students, tracks students, and prepares contracts and invoices.

2. Assists with the recruitment, selection, hiring, orientation, retention and promotes a diverse faculty and staff. Coordinates, hires, trains, schedules and supervises staff for specific Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development training and instructional programs.

3. Reads and routes correspondence. Composes and processes routine correspondence and e-mail. Organizes file system (including confidential material), and files correspondence and other records. Provides other clerical support as required. 

Education/Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) or more years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education/experience.


Hours Per Week: 37.5

Hiring Range $41,000-$43,000

Location: Lakewood Ranch
