About

The Florida Center for Early Childhood is a nationally accredited organization that provides therapeutic services, early education and healthy development programs for infants and children through age 10 in southwest Florida. Its mission is to help foster strong families and expand the potential of young children. Programs include Speech & Language and Occupational Therapies, Starfish Academy preschool, Healthy Families support for at-risk families, Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health, and the state's only Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) diagnostic clinic. The Early Childhood Court program in Sarasota and Manatee Counties offers families intensive therapy and support to overcome their challenges and heal. The agency offers training on a variety of topics relevant for such groups as early childhood educators, clinical practitioners, social service agencies, parents, and caregivers.
