Are you ready to step into the spotlight? The Manatee Performing Arts Center invites community members to audition for our upcoming productions of And Then There Were None & Big Fish! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or new to the stage, this is your chance to become part of something truly special. 

Audition Dates & Details Sunday, January 25 & Monday, January 26 7:00–10:00 PM 

Auditions will be held in Kiwanis Hall (upstairs). Please check in downstairs in the lobby upon arrival. We are seeking volunteer actors of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels to join our cast. All roles are open, and we welcome both familiar faces and first-time performers. 

What to Expect Auditions will consist of a vocal performance, cold readings from the script, and some movement exercises. Please come prepared with a short musical selection (16–32 bars) that showcases your voice. An accompanist will be provided, or you may bring a track. You may be asked to read for specific roles or sing in harmony. Movement will be light and focused on expression and timing—comfortable clothing and shoes are encouraged. 

About the Shows 

And Then There Were None (Drama) In this gripping mystery drama based on Agatha Christie's bestselling novel, ten strangers are lured to a remote island under false pretenses. As the guests begin to die one by one, suspicion and paranoia mount. With no way to escape and no one to trust, the survivors must confront their past sins before time runs out. 

Big Fish (Musical) Big Fish is a heartfelt and whimsical musical that follows the life of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman known for his tall tales and vivid imagination. As his estranged son seeks the truth behind the stories, a magical journey unfolds—blending fantasy with reality, and celebrating the power of storytelling, love, and legacy.
