out to just over 7000 yards. The course is comprised of towering pines,
majestic native oaks, and wetlands...all preserved as a stunning backdrop
where Florida's coastal wildlife abounds. As an
Arnold Palmer Signature Design, Legacy has earned its reputation as
one of the premier course layouts in the Southeastern US.
With wide fairways, a Par 3 island green, 100 tricky bunkers, and
undulating greens, Legacy Golf Club has been a staple in Lakewood Ranch
as the development's original golf course - and first amenity to the community.
Arnold Palmer added his own style and subtle challenges to the
course, which at first looks easy with its broad green fairways. Players
paying attention to shot placement will be rewarded with level lies
and good approach angles while the overconfident player will find
more sand and water hazards.
Local ownership (Lakewood Ranch and Venice) has invested millions into the club in their 6+ years of ownership; including the 700-degree Marana Forni Pizza Oven and a full renovation of the greens, bunkers, landscapes, bridges, irrigation system, golf carts, etc. The Tif-Eagle Greens are the most modern and desired greens' turf on the market.
