The Humane Society of Manatee County was established in 1971 and has become the lead animal welfare organization in Manatee County. Operating a shelter, The Second Chance Adoption Center where 800 - 1000 cats and dogs each year receive high-quality care, medical care, and behavioral training before being rehomed into their new adoptive homes. Humane Society of Manatee County Veterinary Clinic is open to the public offering high quality low to moderate-cost veterinary services that include wellness, vaccines, heartworm testing and treatment, x-ray, dental services and spay and neuter surgeries. Each year over 13,000 cats and dogs visit our clinic as clients. As the expansion of clinic services continues Dermatology has been added to the list of available services. All are invited to come take a tour of our shelter and veterinary clinic.
