Angela Long brought dragon boating to Sarasota in 2013 when she started Survivors In Sync, to compete in the 2014 International Breast Cancer Survivor Paddler’s Commission Participatory Dragon Boat Festival at Nathan Benderson Park. Now, as the head coach of Nathan Benderson Park’s Paddling program, she has coached the team to national and world champion titles.

She is a Level Two Dragon Boat Coach with the United States Dragon Boat Federation and the Dragon Boat Canada. She also holds a certificate in Applied Positive Psychology. Angela is a breast cancer survivor and has advocated for cancer patients in our community.
